Öxarárfoss in Þingvellir National Park
Öxarárfoss is located in Þingvellir National Park (also Thingvellir National Park) which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland. Þingvellir National Park is one of the main attractions in the Golden Circle. The oldest existing Parliament in the world was formed here back in 930 AD and marks a very important place in Icelandic history. Þingvellir National Park also features a continental drift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates that can be clearly seen with just the naked eye.
This park was too stunningly beautiful and I enjoyed walking around admiring nature’s beauty.
Just doing what I do best! Running around exploring nature’s finest!
Pictured below is the view from the top of the view spot of Hakið.
Miles and miles as far as the eye can see!
The weather in Iceland changes very dramatically. I only stayed for about a couple hours, but enjoyed every minute of it!
Öxarárfoss seen through my GoPro. The sky had just started to clear up which made for a picture perfect moment!
Soaking up that waterfall view!
