Cascade Falls

Cascade Falls

Cascade Falls is located within the Jefferson National Forest with a stunning height of 66 feet (20.1m). There are two separate trails leading to the falls; the lower trail and the upper trail. Most people take the more scenic lower trail up to the falls while taking the upper less scenic trail back to the parking lot. At the start of the trail you will shortly arrive at a bridge. Crossing the bridge takes you towards the lower trail which is by far the most beautiful of the two.

The lower trail follows the Little Stony Creek and is one of the most picturesque trails around. Pictured above and below were taken on the lower trail during the winter time.

I had never visited Cascades during the winter time so it was a very nice treat seeing this frozen beauty.

I use to hike Cascade Falls every summer with my family. Pictured below is an older picture of my dog and I during the summer time.
