Hawks Nest State Park
Hawks Nest State Park is a park I stumbled upon while driving along Route 60. I am glad I made the stop because I discovered the most scenic panoramic views of the New River located around 750 feet (230m) down below. It could not have been a more beautiful day to visit Hawks Nest State Park out in West Virginia! This scenic view is located just within the park. Just a short walk away led to one of the most scenic views around. The clouds in the sky made for a picture perfect moment so I decided to try out my time lapse video (Be sure to watch it in High quality!).
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Hawks Nest State Park is conveniently located just right off of the main road of Route 60. This main road travels from White Sulphur Springs, Virginia through the state line all the way through Charleston, West Virginia. It is definitely worth the stop if you are passing through here. This park is located about 11 miles east of the Gauley bridge which is about a 23 minute drive.
