Cascade Falls

Cascade Falls

Cascade Falls is located within the Jefferson National Forest with a stunning height of 66 feet (20.1m). There are two separate trails leading to the falls; the lower trail and the upper trail. Most people take the more scenic lower trail up to the falls while taking the upper less scenic trail back to the parking lot. At the start of the trail you will shortly arrive at a bridge. Crossing the bridge takes you towards the lower trail which…

Dingmans Falls

The second highest waterfall in the state of Pennsylvania with a vertical drop of 130 feet (39.6 m)! Dingmans Falls is located in the Delaware National Gap Recreation Area. With it being winter time, I was lucky to have this magical frozen waterfall all to myself! It was very cold out that morning. The hike was fairly short and only about 0.65 miles to the waterfall. I remember lighting up with excitement when I started to hear the roaring rush of the…

Falling Spring Falls

Falling Spring Falls

One of the most magical waterfalls in all of Virginia! Falling Spring Falls is an astonishing 80 foot (24.4m) waterfall  and one of the most photographed and visited spots in the Allegheny Highlands. The convenience and picturesque views make it one of my favorite waterfalls in the state of Virginia. It was February when I first visited and boy did I get soaked! The water was surprisingly warm and I couldn’t help, but to walk underneath the towering 80 foot…

Buttermilk Falls

Buttermilk Falls

The tallest waterfall in the state of New Jersey. Buttermilk Falls is located on the New Jersey side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. This waterfall cascades 90 feet down the Kittatinny Ridge. I almost missed out on seeing this waterfall. With it being winter time, some of the roads were closed. I originally tried driving in from the north, but the dirt road was closed so I attempted to drive in through the south. The road was…

Roaring Run Falls

Roaring Run Falls

Roaring Run Falls is located in the Roaring Run Recreational Area. This waterfall was only about a 0.61 mile hike to the falls with a loop of 1.5 miles. I made my up on the Streamside Trail and back down on the Woodland Trail. The Streamside Trail was very scenic and crossed over a few rustic stone bridges. The trail was fairly easy. This hike even features a natural waterslide! Too bad it was winter time! On the way back…
